Meeting with Meteorology Department of Cyprus

The Eratosthenes Center of Excellence (ECoE) as the national focal point of CAMS recently held a virtual meeting with Meteorology Department of Cyprus, which was focused on advancing the goals of the CAMS National Collaboration Programme (NCP) and stakeholders’ engagement. Key objectives discussed included enhancing the integration of CAMS data into national environmental monitoring systems, encouraging the uptake of CAMS data for decision-making on air quality and climate.

Presentations covered the variety of CAMS products, such as regional air quality forecasts, emission datasets, and supplementary pollution monitoring, as well as specialized modules designed to support regulatory reporting, satellite data usage, and training initiatives. The session underscored the importance of communication and knowledge sharing to maximize the program’s impact.
