On Friday, 26 September, the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence took part in the European Researchers’ Night 2025 at the Cyprus State Fair in Nicosia, bringing the fascinating world of science and research closer to children and the public!
At our booth, visitors had the chance to:
🔬 Discover how dust particles behave through the “Dust in a Jar” experiment
🛰️ Learn how satellites and the CAMS programme monitor the atmosphere and forecast air pollution
🎨 Play and create through the “Eyes in the Sky” game and build their own mini “satellites”
🗺️ Take part in a fun activity inspired by the SmartPlAiGO programme, where kids drew the optimal path for safer and smarter cities
This year’s event focused on the EU Missions, bold initiatives addressing major societal challenges such as climate change, smart cities, healthy oceans, and sustainable soils.
