CAMS User Intelligence and User Interaction: Cyprus and Malta Workshop on RSCy 2025

On March 18, 2025, the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence (Cyprus) and the Environment & Resources Authority (Malta) co-hosted a dynamic and insightful workshop titled:
“CAMS User Intelligence and User Interaction: Cyprus and Malta Workshop”,
held at the beautiful Aliathon Holiday Village in Paphos, as part of the 11th International RSCy Conference on Remote Sensing & Geoinformatics.

This hybrid event brought together researchers, policymakers, environmental experts, and public authorities from both countries, all with a shared goal:
💡 To explore how the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) can support smarter decisions for health, air quality, and environmental protection.

💬 What Happened?

Attendees participated in interactive discussions on how CAMS services are used, what improvements are needed, and how national needs in Cyprus and Malta can shape the future of CAMS. The workshop featured:

Live case studies showcasing CAMS data in real-world decision-making
Joint sessions with the CEOPS ESA PECS event, enhancing cross-collaboration
Engaging feedback sessions that gave the floor to national stakeholders
Networking over coffee and lunch, all in a collaborative atmosphere
