Georgia Charalampous holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, Bachelor thesis: ‘’Electrical and Structural Characterization of Semi-Transparent Electrodes for Flexible Electronic Devices’’ and a Master of Science in
Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies from the same institution, Master Thesis: ‘’ Magnetite Nanoparticles: Tuning of features towards magnetic nanoparticle hyperthermia efficiency enhancement’’. Since January 2023, she commenced her doctoral studies at the Cyprus
University of Technology (CUT) under the supervision of Prof. Diofantos Hadjimitsis, where she will investigate the impact of aerosols on radiation fluxes in the earth’s surface. Her research aims to improve solar energy forecasting by studying the processes of radiation
transfer of solar radiation through the atmosphere and its interaction with atmospheric tracers such as clouds, aerosols, and trace gases. In addition to her doctoral studies, Georgia holds a position as an Assistant Researcher at the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence. Her
research interests are focused on the effective harnessing of solar energy potential to contribute to a sustainable society and carbon footprint reduction. Overall, Georgia’s academic background and research interests demonstrate her commitment to understanding the processes of radiation transfer and solar energy forecasting for sustainable energy solutions.

AirData Hub aims to support the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) National Collaboration Programme in achieving optimal utilization of CAMS products at the national level.
