Press Conference – Presentation of New Agrometeorological Services

The Big Earth Data Analytics Department of ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence, through the CAMS NCP project, proudly participated in the press conference organized by the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Dr. Maria Panayiotou, and the Director of the Department of Meteorology, Dr. Philippos Tymvios, for the presentation of the upgraded Agrometeorological Services.

🌾 Our team contributed to this important initiative, which supports farmers in Cyprus with tailored meteorological information, leveraging climate and Earth observation data.

🤝 On the sidelines of the event, we also had the opportunity to discuss with the Minister future research collaborations, focusing on the use of AI, GIS, and EO technologies to promote sustainable agriculture and environmental monitoring.
