
π CAMS NCP Cyprus β Kick-Off Meeting | 26 February 2026
We officially launched the new CAMS National Collaboration Programme (2026β2028) at the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence, marking the start of an important new phase in strengthening national air-quality services in Cyprus.
This new contract builds on previous experience and focuses on:
πΉ Direct integration of CAMS products into national systems (AirDataHub & Dust Data Cube)
πΉ AI-based national downscaling of air-quality forecasts (β€5 km resolution)
πΉ Enhanced stakeholder engagement and institutional alignment (DLI, Ministry of Health, Department of Meteorology)
πΉ Development of a health-oriented demonstrator
πΉ Long-term sustainability and operational impact
π Early milestones (2026):
β’ Delivery of the first national downscaled sample dataset
β’ Upgrade of the AirDataHub platform
β’ Structured validation with national authorities
β’ Launch of initial communication materials
Our goal is clear:
